Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy by Ally Carter

Summary: After staking out, obtaining, and then being forced to give up her first boyfriend, Josh, all Cammie Morgan wants is a peaceful semester. But that's easier said than done when you're a CIA legacy and go to the premier school in the world... for spies.
Cammie Morgan may have a genius IQ and attend the best school in the country, but as she starts the spring semester of her sophomore year there are a lot of things she doesn't know. Like will her ex-boyfriend even remember she exists? And how much trouble did she really get in last semester? And, most of all, exactly why is her mother acting so strangely?
All Cammie wants is a nice, normal semester, but she's about to learn her greatest lesson yet—that when you go to a school for spies, nothing is ever as it seems.
Cover: I think the cover definitely goes along with the book. I was already drawn into the book because this is a sequel and I loved the first book. You didn't have to ask me twice to read this book!
Story: 'Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy is about a sophmore girl, Cameron, who goes to a special school. Actually, a spy school called Gallagher Acadamy. Gallagher Acadamy is for young women or at least they thought. Cameron and her friends get a visit from some people that they would've never expected to see at their school. Cameron also has to deal with Josh, her ex-boyfriend and other boy drama. (So not what a girl-spy needs) At her school she is known as the chameleon. Cameron's spy skills are put to test along with her friends to find out who these people are and where are they're from.
Cameron reminds me a little bit of me because she is worrys way too much. But, I guess that just comes along with being a spy. I do like Cameron. I think she is awesome! I felt so bad for her when she has to deal with Josh. She is just a girl with a lot of questions. Questions about her dad, mom, even Mr. Solomon. I would love Mr. Solomon as my teacher. This book definitely wouldn't be so good if it didn't have Cameron in it.
I loved most of Cameron's friends. There's Liz that has the brains. Macey the little 8th grader. She was so cute! My favorite was Bex. I just loved her. When all these girls were together they kicked butt. They definitely emphasize girl power! I loved how the girls reacted to boys. I guess I would be that way if I were never around boys. I thought it was hilarious. I just don't understand how the whole school wasn't fighting over all of the boys.
Zach was very difficult to like. I was up and down with him. I would like him at one moment, but the next moment I completely hated him. He was very cocky and at times I felt like he thought he was better than everyone else. I loved the whole spy girl and spy boy relationship. I think Cameron needs a spy boy in her life, not Josh. anyways, in the end I did like Zach.
This book was so much fun to read. Ally Carter did a great job! I can't wait to get my hands on the sequel. This book makes me feel like girls can do anything. This book has romance, mystery, action, and just plain girl stuff.
3.5 stars!
